Interior design

What the newest 2016 Volkswagen CrossBlue promises to give us is a very spacious interior with more than a lot of comfort. The car comes with either six or an additional seventh seat, with teh rear one slightly elevated. There is enough headroom for all of the passengers and more than enough legroom also. A great added element is the addition of 11.8 cubic-feet worth of cargo capacity  giving the people an option to haul whatever they desire or different kinds of loads inside. You can expand on that by folding the third row of seats which is going to add 28.67 cubic-feet of cargo and 54.60 inches of length.

The space is not the only thing that accounts for the comfort of the VW CrossBlue concept, the interior is riddled with a leather inside that you are able to see in various spaces of the car. Besides the added leather we also get some wood finishes  which are accented with dark-stained banana-tree wood. This is going to combine quite well with the dark “Marble Grey” leather which you get with the two-part center armrest  while the leather trim pieces are made from  “St. Tropez” – light-beige.

Powertrain innovations

The powertrain of the 2016 VW CrossBlue has quite and interesting aspect and design to it. It is going to combine  two engine components that are made by Volkswagen, the TDI and E-motor. The TDI diesel engine  utilized in the concept is going to produce 190 horsepower  and will be combined with a six-speed DSG transmission. It is also going to be combined with a lithium-ion battery in the center tunnel and a E-motor with 40 kW in the front and a E-motor with 85 kW in the rear. This idea came with the Cross Coupe concept which was firstly made and gave rise to this kind of a concept.
