2017 Mini Cooper Exterior Changes

The new 2017 Mini Cooper has a great customization option. The exterior is designed in such a way that you can easily decided to and customize your vehicles but adding or using different kinds of styles which will essentially offer you more than 10 models to make. The car uses the underpinnings which it shares with teh BMW X1 version and that way manages to offer so much versatility.

The redesign of the base model includes a longer nose, which is mainly done in order to accommodate the latest crash test needs. Also the rear has some vertical taillights which are still a bit rectangular but are closer to square and make them larger at the same time so that way they change up the appearance a little bit.

But the model is going to retain the standard features of a Mini Cooper car which includes oval light units on the top corners of the front fenders, an upright windshield and an oblong grille framed in chrome. The window line is also kept the same with black pillars supporting a long roof which is optionally painted by your request and you can even include some unique colors and stills for it.

The convertible 2017 Mini Cooper models essentially have the same horizontal theme but the rear flip-down tailgate gives the rear of the vehicle a different profile the stance remains essentially the same as the Coupe version of the car.

Interior Styling

More changes for the 2017 Mini Cooper are brought on the inside. All of the changes introduced on the inside of the car are largely made to improve the vehicle and look great for the newest model. The position of the instruments has been improved and is much more logical this time. A large tachometer with a smaller speedometer is placed at the side of the steering wheel, while the larger round shape in the center of the dash is the display screen, The sides you will see a pair of rectangular vents. The size of the display may also vary depending on the trim level you chose to get.

The switchgear design was previous pretty chaotic and was only marginal at best, but luckily this has improved for the 2017 model. A horizontal row of switchgears is placed in the central lower dash and above it you will find standard rotary knobs for the heating and ventilation system. The position of the seats is still placed deep inside the car and they are going to be surrounded by black trims and upholstery, They have managed to done away with all the bad parts of the car which were kind of established with the previous versions and have managed to fix the lot of them with this latest version of the car.

Engine Options and Specs

The entire lineup for the 2017 Mini Cooper models has carried over the engines from the last version. This is in fact not a bad idea at all as the engines did not have any faults at all. The Thus the Mini Cooper and also the Clubman versions will carry over the 1.5-liter 3-cylinder engine that makes 124 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque and has the acceleration capacity to reach 0-60 mph in 7.4 seconds with a top speed of 130 mph.

A more performance-orientated engine is available for the Mini Cooper S which is the  2.0-liter turbo-4 engine that makes 189 hp and 206 lb-ft of torque and gains 60 mph in 6.4 seconds. The two engines offered are both going to be matted to a 6-speed manual or automatic shifter. And if you want the JSW version of the Cooper you will get the stronger engine tuned up to reach 228 hp and 236 lb-ft of torque, but it is an option which is hard to tame for the Cooper car.
