Things are looking good as the Raptor F-150 Raptor is going to add aluminum bodywork, an upgraded interior, a  high-strength steel frame and all of that will be followed with a Ford’s EcoBoost technology. The Raptor was introduced back in 2010 and it really made the truck enthusiasts happy to see the vehicle in production. This actually proved that Ford is fully capable of making a Baja vehicle with great specs and performance rates. The new Raptor continues the heavyweight bruiser demeanor that the old versions used to have an even builds up on it with some additional work done.

Many people think actually that eh Ford Raptor has lost all of its credibility in recent years and that this is not the same truck we were all excited about when it got released. Well this new updated will put all those doubters to rest as the car is going to make some major changes, particularly in the drivetrain department, making it a stand around in the segment now. The newly acquired EcoBoost  engine is going to enable a performance of 400 hp while the new transmission is going to be controlled with new Terrain Management system that has a completely new transfer case installed.

Also, thanks to the new aluminum body the car is much more lighter than before. The 500 pounds weight loss is no joke. Maybe it is not the same as the 700 pounds reduction that the standard F-150 has experienced but it adds to the stronger frame that the car has been given now, making it much more usable for off-road ventures. Other interesting improvements also add the FOX Racing shocks which allow more suspension travel, a dual exhaust system, and the All-Terrain K02 tires from BF Goodrich.

You can certainly described the exterior design of the 2017 Ford Raptor and being advanced or next level, as it truly reaches the next level in design language that this vehicle brings. It incorporates some of the features from the 2015 model and builds up upon it with various and very useful upgrades. First of all, it is wider by 6 inches in order to increase stability even further. Both the front and rear bumper are raised so they provide better approach and departure angles. There are also some new LED light bulbs with halogen features added as well that enhance the visibility of the car when they are used.

The new Goodrich All-Terrain TA tires that come in 17-inch size increase the ability for the truck to go on different terrains, You can now tread on loose sand, they prevent chunking on rocky surfaces and they also self-clean for that matter. The side running board is the same as before and remain with the large fender flares as well. The back side is refurbished in the same manner as the new F-150 is and is bolstered with a dual exhaust system which give the truck a very balanced look that way.

The Raptor now comes in both  SuperCab and SuperCrew cab  options, so you can opt for a shorter wheelbase or get one which has more legroom and inside storage capacity.

The interior of the 2017 Ford Raptor sees the all too familiar Raptor box placed on a F-150. There are now some unique seats placed inside which have leather and suede inserts with an upgraded overhead console which adds six up-fitter switches and the controls for the moonroof as well.

The large digital display is positioned here on within the gauge cluster which is something taken from the F-150 which is very useful for driving this type of a car. It helps you by showing all the necessary information like the off-road info and the necessary mechanical stats about the engine as well.

If you choose the SuperCrew configuration, the passengers at the back have more than enough legroom for them, it is almost like inside a limousine. There is immense storage space with the bench seats that can neatly fold and allow access through  the flat load floor.

The greatest news comes under the hood of the 2017 Ford Raptor. This is all thanks to the second generation 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 engine that is going to replace the old version that was used. The car can now certainly achieve more power than it ever did and can muster up to 411 horsepower and 434 pound-feet of torque. The only downfall is that it does not offer great fuel efficiently with the immense power it is able to put out now. With the EcoBoost you get a 10-speed automatic transmission  with F1-style paddle shifters. This transmission actually helps with the fuel economy but does a much better job in  gearing for both low- and high-speed off-roading.
