The new 2017 Ford Explorer is going to be a five seat vehicle capable of carrying an equal number of people. It comes in five time variants, the base mid-trims XLT, Limited, Sport, and the top-of-the line Platinum model, that all come with a set of different features individually. 2017 Ford Explorer engine specs
There are going to be three possible engine offers available for the 2017 Ford Explorer vehicle. You can chose between a 3.5L V6 engine which is capable of making 290 hp and 255 pounds of torque, the 3.5L V6 that is available in the Limited which comes with enhanced settings and an output of 365 horsepower and 350 pounds of torque and a 2.3L 4-cyl powerplant that makes 270 horsepower and 300 pounds of torque that is an optional choice for the base, XLT and the Limited trims. All of the mentioned engine choices are combined with a 6-speed auto transmission system and there are also options of getting them into an FWD or an AWD system.
Price and release date
The 2017 Ford Explorer is going to be available next year, that is for sure but we do not know exactly when. The release date is still not available and has still to be released and we are going to need to wait for it a little bit. As for the price, we are expecting a price tag of around 30,000 USD.
