2017 Audi A4 Sedan Review

The new 2017 Audi A4 sedan has been announced and comes to us in the beginning of next year. This is going to be a refreshed version as we are still waiting for the new generation model, and as we are well aware of the manner Audi redesigns their cars, we do not expect much to change and believe that a lot of the features are going to be the same as before and carried over for this model from the previous one.

The design of Audi A4 is going to be business as usual. They are still not ready to ditch the old conservative style and are not risking it with anything extravagant. The A4 sedan will remain a luxury and an appropriate offer and will keep all the makings that help it get great reviews from before. Now you can perhaps view it as a “take it or leave it” offer as it does not hold a spectacular change, so if you are looking for something like that you better immediately search for it with the rival cars.

The Audi A4 has vital and sporty kind of a design that makes are all the attributes needed to battle the competitors like the BMW 3 Series, Mercedes-Benz C-Class and even the newly acquired 2017 Jaguar XE.

The fact with every A4 sedan model that Audi has released since the starting of the brand back in 1994 is that they have grown in proportion and in dimensions. This one is no exception as well as the 2017 model, although having not much to offer in the aesthetic sense of the word, will have some slightly longer dimensions compared to before. Of course the car is going to adopt a revamped interior which will make it very desirable. The car has been showcased at this year’s Detroit Auto show while the release date is set for next year. Check out all the details here in this review.

2017 Audi A4 sedan exterior news

As we mentioned, there are not many changes for the exterior look of the 2017 Audi A4 except the dimensions. Audi adopts a similar formula that they have used with their preceding vehicles and is going to design this one in the same manner. As this formula has proven to be a successful one as the vehicles like the Audi Q7 and Audi R8 have gone to a similar remodeling which actually paid off. The most dramatic change is the enhancement of aerodynamic properties that the car has gained as it is not the most aerodynamic car in the class with a coefficient of 0.23.

The grill part and the headlights are new a fresh while the apron has only been changed a little bit The front end of the car now has some sharp angles which are more apparent in the headlights while the grill gets a new pattern and does not extend so much towards to fender area. The hood has been reshaped a bit as well and all the mentioned parts make the A4 seem much more aggressive than before. At the back side the trunk is slightly shorter while a new a revised bumper is being used as well.

The car has 1 inch more in its total dimensions. The car is also 0.55 inch wider and has an added  0.6 inch in its wheelbase. The height is the same but the overall weight is much more lighter as the car has lost 33.1 pounds which is helped due to the engine change which can decrease up to 264 pounds, depending on the engine you pick.

The inside managed to gain more changes compared to the exterior of the 2017 Audi A4. Being that the inside started to look somewhat outdated compared to with the competition had to offer they needed to incorporate some changes. it is still a recognizable Audi like design which has not changed in its core but is much more suitable and contemporary than before. The center stack may have remained the same and is familiar but has a different layout which keeps it fresh and much more usable, particularly with an added  8.3-inch color display.

The steering wheel is completely new which also goes for the MMI controls. The shifter is the one used in the Audi A8 while the door panels have also been revised and result in a more upscale look. Actually the overall positioning of the controls and the added aluminum inserts inside make it much more easer to control and also give the cabin a premium look compared to before.

The enhanced dimensions give us more room inside and this sedan has to be one of the most comfortable and roomy vehicles that you have ever ridden in. In fact it holds an abundance of space for both the front and back passengers giving it a contemporary and overall comfortable setting inside.
