Price & Release Date of the New 2016 Volvo XC60
The release date of the vehicle is scheduled to be somewhere in the last quarter of this year, most probably in Geneva Motor Show, while its MSRP is rumoured to be around $36,000.
2016 Volvo XC60 Engine
Under the hood of the new XC60 will be an economical engine model. The engine will replace the outgoing model’s 3L turbo unit. There will be two engines which will be a 2L supercharged engine yielding up to 300 hp and 295 pounds of torque while the other one will be a 2L turbocharged that will generate up to 249 hp and 250 pounds of torque.
The above mentioned engines will both be mated to an 8-speed auto transmission system. Additionally, the XC60 will also be provided with a manual shift mode. The turbocharged engine will consequently enable the vehicle to sprint from 0-6o mph in a paltry 6.8 seconds.
The top speed of the vehicle will be capped to around 130 mph while its EPA ratings have been pegged to around 25/36 mpg in the city/highway. News of a hybrid are making rounds, however, no announcements have been made so far.
