2016 Renault Megane engine
Under the hood of the new 2016 Renault Megane, there will be several engine variants that will be aimed for different people. First, the older 1.6L 16v engine is set to be discontinued and will be replaced by a 1.2L turbocharged inline 4 which will be provided with two outputs, either a 135 hp or a 110 hp.
The top of the range 2016 Renault Megane RS is scheduled for a later release date and will be offered with a newly developed 2L turbocharged inline 4 which will provide up to 300 hp, and which Renault has pegged hopes upon to edge out Focus RS and Type R competition.
Another high output engine is already in the works and will be a 1.6L turbocharged inline 4 and will provide up to 200 hp, and the engine will enable them tap into the GTI space.
