2016 GMC Acadia Release Date, Review, Price, Images – The 2016 GMC Acadia is a luxury vehicle which a spacious inside and enough interior comfort that it may come as a minivan replacement. It comes as a splendid people hauler and a vehicle that will transport the passengers from one destination to the other without problems.

First of all, GMC made its name by producing trucks and pickups and it is only in the past decade that it managed to come with some advancement in the crossover and sport-utility segment. The Acadia does not at all come with those truck-like characteristics of the past vehicles, instead it adopts its own position in the world and builds up upon it. It is a SUV which can carry up to 8 passengers at once.

The new 2016 GMC Acadia will come in 3 different trim levels, the SLE, SLT and Denali form. As you can see from the pictures it has adopted quite a good design and the inside entertainment specter has been enhanced considerably. All of this amounts to the car being perfect at its ultimate aim and it can come as a perfect people hauler whenever you needed. Check out some other infotainment and the breakdown of the vehicle in this review.

This is the eight model year when the GMC Acadia is being produced, and based on the newest styling the use of liens and the overall handsome styling has enabled it to age well. The car still gets as much acclaim as it did when it was initially released and looks as great as ever with the minor details that were upgraded and enhanced for the outside look. The 2013 model vehicle was the one which greatly helped the Acadia get its pleasant features. This period enabled the car to get chiseled front and wrap-around glass treatment which were borrowed from the design of  Saturn Outlook car. But the front part also comes with the pronounced grille which help the Acadia gain a look which is both aggressive and good looking at the same time.

The profile is pretty much straightforward and not anonymous at all. It also looks much more masculine than the opposing Enclave vehicle and this characteristic certainly appeals to the users much more. What the Denali trim offers which does not come in the base version nor the other ones is a chrome-mesh grille which are combined with the distinctive headlights. The Denali trim also comes with a choice between the 18-inch wheels and some 20-inch ones.

Interior

On the inside of the 2016 GMC Acadia they decided to keep things simple and not complicate things too much. It actually has one of the simpler layouts among crossover vehicle in the entire segment and it makes it easy to use and you can get used to it much quicker particularly if you are new to this type of a vehicle. But it does come a few comfort upgrades that are not only made to be useful, they look good as well.

The soft touch materials and combined with the leather upholsteries which also come with t French stitching and like that make a perfect combination for a nice homely and pleasant look and feel of the inside of the Acadia. The higher trims have a special red ambient light added to their setup which can help you get in a better mood and give a better atmosphere to the inside of the car. This features is present for the SLT and the Denali trims.

Engine

People may have expected a different setup, but there is going to be only a single powertrain option that is going to power all of the 2016 GMC Acadias now. All trims get the use of a 288-horsepower V-6 which is strong enough and perfect enough to power any kind of a family trip you decided to go on. The car also has a total 5,000-pound of curb weight which combined with the appropriate shifter enable a well-balanced ride. It also comes with the standard rear-wheel drive and an optional all-wheel drive as well. So we guess there is no need of adding different engines trims when one does the job perfectly.

Price and release date

There were some indications that the 2016 GMC Acadia was supposed to be released by the end of the year. But it happens that the release date is going to be actually somewhere next year. Expect to see it in the first quarter of the year when all trims also get to be released at the same time. The base MSRP is set at 30,975 USD for the base version, while the SLE comes at 34,175 dollars, the SLT for 41,020 dollars, and the highest Denali trim for 47,890 dollars.

The refreshments are part of the company’s strategy meant to boost the sales of the vehicle, and don’t get me wrong – their sales are not sacking, the company says that the crossover achieved an enormous sales feat last year in 2014 selling a whopping 105, 016 units in total globally.

The trim levels of the previous vehicle will be carried over to the new model, however the SLE trim will further break down into SLE 1 and SLE 2 trim levels, thereby giving customers more choices to suit their preferences.

Another interesting thing to look forward to in the new Terrain are the safety aids, which will be expanded in all the trim models, with rear cross traffic alert and blind-zone alert now optional in the SLT and SLE models.

Despite the mechanical correlation with the Chevy Equinox – which, by the way, has also been refreshed – the Terrain is a more upscale crossover, exclusively in the chrome-clad Denali variant, which comes with exclusive exterior and interior. Additionally, the Denali trim models will continue to come fitted with dual-flow dampers as the standard equipment.

2017 GMC Yukon Rumors, Specs and Photos

The 2017 GMC Yukon update is a car which is going to replace the current model which has actually not been out for that long. They are trying to keep things fresh and are doing so by adding a more comprehensive Driver Alert Package for this model, which also has 22-inch wheel designs, new exterior colors,  a capless fuel-filler neck, a hands-free liftgate  and plenty of new things more.

For the most part, the latest 2017 is going to carryover a lot of its parts and will look mostly unchanged. But the model is going to add just enough parts to keep it competitive and keep the model ahead of its closest rival, the Lincoln Navigator model, which has also received a ton of new updates with its latest form. The lack of updates, so to say, is not completely a bad thing for the Yukon as most of the parts still look fresh but GMC had a need to keep things competitive and have thus given us a model with certain updates that make it nice new addition for the 2017 lineup.

There are going to be some stellar changes happening on the inside which are for the most part going to be much more important than those on the outside of the car. The added details result in the third row of seats that you do not have to remove if you want to have a flat load floor. There is an upgrade for the powertrain options also provided here and an upgraded technological package with the latest EcoTec3 technologies as a startup.

The Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban and Cadillac Escalade vehicles of the world are in for a surprise which comes from the GMC Yukon 2017 model and we are happy to announce that the release date and the pricing has been released. Just keep reading the review to find out more.

Release date and price

Let’s get the biggest issue about the 2017 GMC Yukon out of the way first and that is the release date. As the car has already been finished the only thing that we have to do is to wait for the release and surprisingly it comes earlier than we thought. The model is going to be available by the end of this year as we are waiting for it in the later part. The starting price for the base version is $48,935 as base MSRP, while the highest priced one is the $71,415, which is the Denali trim.

Available trims

Speaking of trims, the 2017 GMC Yukon is going to come in some of its already familiar forms seen in the previous incarnations of the model. This include the SLE, SKT and Denali models and adds the XL SLE, XL SLT and the XL Denali which are the higher trims and the higher priced models.

Exterior

It can be pretty hard to tell the difference between the exterior of the 2017 GMC Yukon model and its previous incarnation. The fact that the models are highly similar and look alike is true, but the people who look closer will notice the updates and the slight details that have been added. The best thing perhaps in terms of the equipment is a new hands free liftgate which is available for the SLT models. There is an updated list of wheels available for the model. Not only are they now available in different sizes, they also come in redesigned compared to the previous one. The 18-inch  are standard ones but the  20- and 22-inch wheels  are new and you can get them as optional parts of equipment.

The novelties continue with the addition of two new color pallets that are added which expand the current options that are already present. The Crimson Red Tintcoat is available for all trim models while the White Frost Tricoat can only be added for the SLT and Denali trims. The addition which is going to be standard and will not require additional payments is the new capless fuel filler neck and also something that enhance the safety, although you need to use it from the inside it is mounted on the outside, and is the updated Driver Alert Package which comes with many new features that address the safety of the car.

Interior

The inside for the 2017 GMC Yukon does not feature any style changes and keeps things similar as before, but does manage to squeeze in a few updates. The biggest innovation is that all trim levels now have fold-flat second and third row seats. This makes the ability to carry more cargo now much easier and simpler. You can get a power fold function for the seats which can help you transform the car much easier from one which carries people to one that can house your luggage. The newest liftgate also has several settings that you can program and make this function much easier.

Standard for the car is an eight-inch infotainment screen which is ran by the IntelliLink software from GMC. You also get 4G LTE Wi-Fi services and SiriusXM satellite radio and you have then as standard and free for your first three months of use. Navigation functions are optional but the Denali trim has an updated instrument cluster which also adds a second eight-inch display with three selectable themes which expands your functionality of the interior.

Engine specs

Like before and like all of the current GMC trucks, so will the latest 2017 GMC Yukon come available with a  EcoTec3 version of the LS small block V-8. You get the 5.3-liter V-8 as standard which is able to produce 55 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. The Denali trims use a standard 6.2-liter V-8, which is basically the same engine fitted for the CorvetteStingray model and makes 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque for this truck. The first engine choice is used with a GM’s Hydra-Matic 6L80  while the later can be gotten with a GM’s newest eight-speed automatic, dubbed the  Hydra-Matic 8L90.
