2016 Buick Verano

2016 Buick Verano Release Date, Interior, Price, Specs – Admittedly, we must say that most of the vehicles that were unmasked during the 2015 Shanghai Motor Show had little relevance for car buyers based in the West, and especially for the U.S, however with the expected debut of the China’s new 2016 Buick Verano things might change for the better.

After the strong sales that were witnessed in the first two model years, last year, we saw the drop in sales for the Buick Verano, which is the automaker fourth best-selling model, so an update will definitely be forthcoming in the future.

Despite the new 2016 Buick Verano being branded a 2016 year model in China, there are possibilities that the new vehicle will arrive in North America as the 2017 Buick Verano, but this are just speculations.

With all the major Auto Shows season in the US over, buyers should not expect the new US spec Buick Verano to be unleashed until the Los Angeles Auto Show scheduled for November this year. Below is a comprehensive review about the new 2016 Buick Verano.

2016 Buick Verano exterior

What might arise complaints about the current Verano styling is its rather conservative design. The new 2016 Buick Verano exterior design will be inspired by the recently refreshed Buick Lacrosse.

At the front end, we should expect the new 2016 Buick Verano to be more expressive. It will come with integrated exhaust outlets and larger LED taillights. Despite this China- spec Verano having sans Buick signature hood vents, we should expect to see them added to the car’s design language especially for the U.S bound market.

This vehicle resembles the Chevy Cruze in many aspects, but the Verano has always managed to have its own identity despite it seeming to have an almost similar body to the upcoming next generation Cruze.

The Cruze, just like the Malibu will get a sportier, short deck lid and coupe like roofline, which will be just about every view of the anticipated Buick Verano.

2016 Buick Verano interior

As for the interior of the new 2016 Buick Verano, we should expect new features and technological enhancements that will ward off potential rivals. However, no details or images have been provided about the refreshed sedan.

Despite the setback, our team has been able to interview some of the top names in the automobile segment privy to Buick, and prepared for you this exclusive review.

The cabin of the new 2016 Buick Verano will prove to be slightly erratic in terms of the headroom department, however, we believe that its designers will soon address the shortcoming.

For the base version, we should expect to see lots of convenience and leather groups. The top of the range trim models will come with leather trimmed seats, while the dashboard is not expected to change as much.

Unchanged features will include those of the IntelLink infotainment system which is poised to continue unaltered for a couple of years. Moreover, the 7” touch screen display will also remain unchanged in the new model.

2016 Buick Verano engine

As was expected, the new 2016 Buick Verano will feature a direct injected four cylinder 1.5L EcoTec turbocharged engine, however, it’s unclear whether the engine will be offered in the United States.

The new engine will be rated at 166 hp and 184 pounds of torque which compares almost similarly to the present engine in the previous Verano model.

Another engine on offer will be a 2.4L direct injected four cylinder engine that is rated at 180 hp and 171 pounds of torque. 2016 Buick Verano will now come with more advanced 7-speed dual clutch transmission system (DCT) instead of the previous 6-speed auto transmission system.

Additionally, the new vehicle will come with better fuel economy ratings than the previous model thanks to the added and refreshed engine and transmission specs. It will now return 21/32 mpg in the city/highway.

2016 Buick Verano price and release date

The 2016 Buick Verano release date will be somewhere next year as the exact details have not been offered as yet. The price of the 2016 Buick Verano turbo will be around 27,000 USD.

Most potential rivals will include the 2016 Acura ILX and 2015 Audi A3 sedan. With all the changes and ante, it is set to compete favourably with the other models in its class.

2017 Buick Regal Grand National

A lot of speculations have been made about a 2017 Buick Regal Grand National being released. But we were never as close to the car being released as we are not. It appears that all stars have been aligned and after years of speculations the car is making a comeback ape prance. Buick used to mare this brand almost 30 years ago and it was discontinued at some point. But not before it established a great fan base and a liking by the most appreciated of car fanatics. All of them have been interested in the model’s return and the years of waiting are finally over.

What the model brings to the table is actually a new platform. The Buick Regal Grand National is going to sport the Alpha platform. This was a concept vehicle which later on went to be used for the future Cadillac ATS and CTS designs. The platform was also the basis of the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro car. It proved to be the best starting point and the way a new Grand National vehicle is supposed to be started. The model is thus going to be a rear-wheel drive vehicle as established.

Also, the car is going to take in a much more modernistic approach. As the car has been away so long out of the spotlight, it has been removed from the seen and looks dated. Thus it is just normal to remodel the car’s exterior by adding some new elements and also bolstering the inside with the added technological upgrades and comfort features. Read on this review and you will get to see what the 2017 Buick Regal Grand National brings.

Exterior Redesign and New Platform

The 2017 Buick Regal Grand National is going to take in quite a different approach for its exterior. In fact the car has gone into   quite a different direction when it comes to looks of the car. The materials are going to play a big factor and a new platform is not only a change here. There are going to be some very light and quality materials incorporated here which are going to make a lot of difference for the weigh and the feel of the car.

Since the last time we have seen the Grand National was in the 80s a lot of it is going to improve and change of the modern version. This is one of the most American cars we have seen and although it is going to retain that kind of feel and features it will be bolstered with some added new elements. The limousine style is retain and some elegant liens are added across the car. Also the dimensions are going to be changed a bit and the car is going to be a bit bigger and longer. This will account for the interior comfort in a big way.

The front end of the car actually takes an aggressive approach. It has a chrome bezel and LED lights as well. The bumpers are compact and integrate nicely into the overall look of the car. Optional fog lights are available and the rear end has spoiler placed on the trunk of the car. Also in the back, there are the double flow exhaust pipes protruding down below.

Inside Appearance and Changes

Making the inside of the 2017 Buick Regal Grand National are only the best kind of materials and additions. The car has already been portrayed as a well established and luxury looking car. With the updated that comes this fact is retained and the car keeps its interior good looks and design. Only the best materials are used for the inside and the upholsteries of the seats have leather and all kinds of soft materials within the cabin. The luxury is expanded with the added space which the dimensions change brings. Thus the Regal Grand National is quite capable of packing in five people without any problems.

The steering wheel is changed a bit and it is also wrapped in the same kind of leather seen in the doors of the car. Behind the wheel is a very user friendly and digitalized apparel which has LED lights placed inside it for a much more pleasant feel and look. The middle of the cockpit also features a toucscreen which enables you to control the many functions of the car. With the expanded technological updates you can use the car to your advantage in more ways and also there is an interesting color pallet also provided for the interior.

2017 Buick Cascada Review, Redesign and Release date

Buick is alive and kicking with the introduction of the 2017 Buick Cascada. First unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show, the car has been credited for being comfortable and competitively priced. However, a few downsides could push people to lean in favor of other competing brands. One of the biggest challenges for the Buick Cascada Convertible is that there are many other midsize convertibles out there. The difference with the Casada is that it is classified as a cruiser, so the engineers at General Motors have tuned the suspension accordingly. Drivers can expect a smooth ride with sporty handling.

A sporty and aerodynamic design but one that lacks brilliance or head turning risks

2017 Buick Cascada Engine Specs

The underbelly of the beast consists of a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine. You would expect it to be rev happy but in fact, it’s acceleration is lackluster, to say the least. That said it’s worth mentioning that not many convertibles in this price range are acceleration beasts on the street. When it comes to 0-60 figures, there aren’t any official ones, and that’s maybe because its sluggish.

Buick Cascada Interior

The Buick Cascada Convertible does have an attractive interior layout, but that’s until you actually step into it. The hard plastic materials have the vibes of a low-end car. The array of dashboard switches and various knobby controls make operating it’s few features a chore. We felt that the infotainment system in the Cascada Convertible was dated both in terms of operation and appearance. You’re not going to find features such as blind spot monitoring, or keyless start.

Moving on over to the rear passenger seat and you’ll be greeted with enough room for two large passengers. Access to the back is further made easier with the option to move the seat forward. A large truck is made larger with split folding back seats so you can transport longer items like a clothes’ rack.

Compared to the more luxurious and expensive Audi A3, and BMW 2 series convertibles the Cascada does not offer much. Also, in the same price range are the Volkswagen Beetle Convertible and the popular Mini Cooper Convertible both of which are stiff competitors, fun to drive but don’t offer as much room as the Cascada.

2017 Cascada Exterior Design

The Buick Cascada Convertible 2017 is available in three trims i.e. Base, Premium, and Sports Touring. Equipment with the base model include 20 inch alloy rims, a convertible top, xenon lights, rear parking sensors, heated mirrors, dual-zone automatic climate control, remote start, heated seats, leather upholstery, folding rear seats, a 7-inch touch display, smartphone connectors, voice controls, rearview camera, a 7 speaker sound setup, satellite radio, USB connectors and a CD player.

The new Sports Touring trim was introduced in the 2017 model, and we first glimpsed it at the Detroit Auto show. The trim consists of a unique paint color and strange looking alloy rims. Also, there is a black interior trim and a steering wheel with a flat bottom.

In terms of design the Buick Cascada Convertible takes no risks, and so there is nothing groundbreaking about it. We found that the paint was of reasonably good quality. The lights tapered well with the fenders and the roof retracted in under 10 seconds. However, we’d expect to see something that looked sportier in this price range. That said not many competing vehicles are as aerodynamic or sportier for the price. So, here again despite there being a lot of competing vehicles some people may prefer the Buick simply because it’s conservative design appeals to their tastes. Though others may probably want to spend more on an Audi or BMW.
