2016 Audi TTS

2016 Audi TTS Release Date, MSRP Price, MPG, Interior – The 2016 marks the release of the new Audi TTS vehicles. As the renewal of the TT brand has already been done it was a no brainer that the TTS counterpart was to follow suit immediately after that. If you are in line for sporty sedans and roadster vehicles, this is the one for you. The newest updated features a opulent amount of additions and changes that increase the potential of the new TTS vehicle.

If we were to judge the TTS by exterior only, then we would immediately label it as a sports vehicle. The stripes and design of the car does not leave us to think otherwise, but in fact the car can be so much more. Looking at the inside you will see some updates that are not an everyday addition to a sports vehicle but it is something that makes the car better and makes it look good. The combination of different interiors and exterior design is something that is very peculiar, but it is amazing how well it looks together.

The car is going to get its US release date in the recent moths as they are planning to make it available by the end of the year. Let’s hope they stick to their plan as it would be amazing to see the 2016 TTS car in action as soon as possible. The price is not too shabby and the performance rates have risen as well. The pictures will tell you how the car looks and the review will explain the specs and all the needed details about the car that you need to know.

2016 Audi TTS interior

The interior of the new TTS has been completely redesigned. The first thing that you notice about the Audi TTS is of course its crisp exterior look, but the best is yet to come when you go inside. The car has more of sportiness to it and has changed for the ultimately better. The car looks great and feels great and there is a larger focus on the driver as it enables not just driving comfort but usefulness when driving as all of the major controls and panels have been placed in front of the driver for better use. The transformation also channels the sports car vibe in a better way, making every fan of this brand and of sporty vehicles interested of this model.

As we said all the controls are in front of the driver and they include all the interface related features and the infotainment system for the car. The infotainment screen is center stacked for a better look and easier use. The 12.3-inch high-contrast display, the new Audi Virtual Cockpit display, voice controls, steering-wheel toggles and an MMI Touch scratch pad down at the center console are all neatly laid out for the driver to use. It increases the technological ability of the car and introduces it in modern times much quicker than any other vehicle on the market.

Exterior

The exterior does get an update, but it keeps the profile that we have seen from the previous TTS car. The car is recognizable in every way and you can easily distinguish that much of the car has been carried over but there is some fine tuning here and there that makes the car more innovative. For instance, the overhangs have been tucked in a bit while the corners of the car have been chiseled a bit. This actually makes the car seem wider in some sense but it actually depends on the angle you look at it. The car may also seem a bit high-shouldered than before, but the trick is that it is not nor is it wider. The truth is quite the opposite but the designer’s effect makes it seem so in the eyes of the viewer.

People who know there cars will doubtlessly notice the influence of the R8 vehicle added to the front of the car, but it is included in a toned down way that it flies under the radars and does not seem as a complete copy. What the car has also received at the front are the newly designed headlights which now add the LED technology to the mix. The new grille has a trapezoidal shape with the new creased design of the hood make the new appearance for the TTS 2016 model look much more menacing than before.

Engine

The engines will be kept the same as before and there are not many changes concerning the performance of the car. The new Audi TTS vehicle will come powered with a high-performance boosted a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that makes 292 hp and 280 lb-ft. The TT version uses the same engine but with a performance that stands at 220 hp and 258 lb-ft. But the key difference from before is the use of lighter materials that shed a lot of weight from the structure of the car. This allows for a lot better acceleration specs that give 4.6 seconds time for he TTS to speed up from 0 to 60 mph. The manual shifter is gone this time and you only have the S-tronic dual-clutch automatic one now left.

Price and release date

The new 2016 Audi TTS gets to see the light of day pretty soon and it will arrive by the end of the year. The exact release date will be known pretty soon but expect the TT version to come out first and then make way for the TTS one. The price is set somewhere between 42,900 USD and 46,400 USD base MSRP, depending on the additions and the inclusions the car receives.

2017 Audi Q3

The 2017 Audi Q3 is going to mark the continuation of the model being released in the  US market. Ever since establishing the brand, the car has only been offered in its home country and European markets. The 2015 model was actually the first one to come to America and start the expansion of the brand here. The 2017 Q3 is going to be a facelifted version which is going to continue the popularity of the model and build up on the premise and starting popularity of the car.

2017 Audi Q3 front view

Audi Q3 is a compact crossover which started its production in 2011 in the home court and was first released in US as a 2015 model. The luxury-oriented high-stance five-door quickly gained popularity and accumulated a fan base here which is shown by the sales numbers as it proves that the model has gained a significant and a large fan base.

It appears that the second generation is going to make its way here as well as the cameras have caught a glimpse of a heavily camouflaged vehicle doing test runs and bearing an uncanny resemblance on the Q3 model. Even with the camo it is apparent on what they are doing and which are some updates that they are trying to introduce to this model. Making it fresh is an obvious thing that they are planning to do and it is certainly going to continue the popularity of the brand even further here.

Judging by the way the car looks we might get it next season as it is almost near its production level. Here is what we have managed to find out about the car and you can read it all in our review.

Exterior

Even with the spy photos, it is still easy to discern how the 2017 Audi Q3 will look like. It is mostly because the model shapes a look which is going to be discernibly an Audi one. It is fairly similar to the current Q3 model and adds some new parts and characteristics for the car. The headlights are going to have a narrow shape with  Xenon bulbs and LED daytime running lights. The car uses a large Singleframe grille and also has the aluminum trim, LED taillights, roof rails and  a spoiler on the hatch. The exhaust tips are going to be integrated into the bumper and makes a different type of a rear end for the car that way.

2017 Audi Q3 exterior

It is also going to mix some details with the Audi Quattro model, which bares resemblance with the model that was released in the 80s. The elements which the Q3 is going to borrow from the Quattro include the flared wheel arches and a rear end of the similar style. The combination of these characteristics that is going to come infused with the old ones makes for a great design of the car. The coupe version has yet to be confirmed nor we are certain whether it will appear but the model is certainly going to grow in size particularly as it is placed in the slot above the Audi Q2 model.

Interior

The 2017 Audi Q3 is going to sport an interior which is fit for the model. It is going to sport an immaculate fit which is going to be graced by some high-class finishes and exceptional materials. The design is actually going to follow the one seen in the Audi A4 version  particularly as it has the same steering wheel and the button configuration seen on it. Front and center of the center stack is a  large touchscreen and the  Audi’s Virtual Cockpit is placed around the gauge cluster area. The leather upholstery is going to be a standard fit for the car and it is also going to come available in various different colors.

Audi also reported that they are keeping their 2017 Audi Q3 as one of the safest cars on the market, which is exemplified by the safety technology upgrades that the model comes with. These include  automatic braking, lane-keep assist, pedestrian monitor, rear cross traffic alert and a blind spot monitor. Other technological upgrades will include a Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth connectivity, navigation and voice control. As the model comes with increased dimensions, there is going to be some extra room in the cargo area but the rear seating is also going to be more comfortable and include more space.

Engine

The 2017 Audi Q3 is actually going to keep the drivetrain options for the American market as before, so unfortunately there is not going to be an update with the engine options. This would mean the use of a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine which is matted to a six-speed automatic transmission and is going to be offered in both FWD and AWD. This would bring the output level to 200 horsepower and 207 pound-feet of torque.

There are talks about a diesel variant also being offered here but there are no confirmation and even if there were there it is surely not going to appear in the US market. Also something that we are not going to get in America is the RS Q3 version which is going to use a 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine which produces 340 horsepower and 330 pound-feet of torque.

Release date and price

The 2017 Audi Q3 starts sales next year. It is going to be released in Europe this year and it will cross the pond and get its North American release date in April next year. The price is a cool $33,700 at entry level and $38,600 for the Prestige version.

2017 Audi A6

Announced for the Los Angeles Auto Show is the 2017 Audi A6 model which is getting its US release that way. This is going to be a new model car coming from the German automaker but, in fact it is going to be a lot of something that we have already seen from the model before as they planned not to change a whole lot about the car.

2017 Audi A6 exterior

We do get some changes on the front end and rear end of the car but also it includes a new technology package in the inside. With added technology come the updates to the infotainment system and also there are going to be three different forced induction engine options.

The model was first released in 1995 as a replacement for the outgoing 100 sedan and wagon. With only two years of being on the market the A6 came with V-6 and a V-8 engines which came to replace the naturally aspirated engine which was originally used. The second generation was released in 1998 and used the A4 platform, while the third generation arrived in 2005. This new 2017 model is a part of the fourth generation which made its debut in 2012 and comes to us in a slightly revised way.

When we are talking about the midsize luxury sedan segments, giants like BMW and Mercedes are what always comes ot mind. But Audi shows that they are not behind their German brethren when it comes to making luxury vehicles. Study the review and see what the changes that are introduced are.

Exterior

Perhaps the 2017 Audi A6 does not come with too many changes made to tis exterior, there are some that manage to update the car for a better design. It is clear that the front fascia of the car has received the better part of the update and has adopted a lot of new changes made to it. The front end adds a new Singleframe grill integrated with the bumper and combines with the LED headlights to its front. The taillights have also received new LED features as well, but the rear end has another new addition which is the reshaped exhaust tips that make up the changes possible.

2017 Audi A6 side view

There have been some pictures of the Audi A6 Avant released but it appears that this model may not make its way to the states this time. The Avant is the US version of the car that is originally made and released in Germany and it appears that for now we may only get a model released in Germany only with the Avant being offered some time later.

Interior

The interior of the 2017 Audi A6 is going to have certain changes as well. The upholstery changes include some newly added color combinations which give us the use of Flint Gray and Cedar Brown color choices. Besides this we also get a high standard of high end additions which are going to touch upon both the trim and the technology of the car.

The car also puts a lot of emphasis on connectivity as a modern and luxury car should do. It comes with 4G LTE Wi-Fi for up to eight devices, personalized news readers, streaming Internet radio and more. In order to control all of this there is a MMI touch display with eight-inch monitor and also MMI navigation and Bluetooth integration, with voice control.

The model also bears a lot of safety features and additions that include Side Assist and Active Lane Assist. But there is also the Secondary Collision Assist  which prevents further damage by applying the brakes if the car accidentally hits something.

Engine

The 2017 Audi A6 is going to have an updated powertrain and is going to provide more power than it did before. This is all thanks to the new and available engine packages that the model comes with. First of all there is the 2.0-liter turbo four puts out 252 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque and the 3.0-liter supercharged V6 comes with 333 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque. But there is a third engine option as well, the most powerful one, a turbo six-cylinder diesel which makes 240 horsepower and impressive 428 pound-feet of torque.  All of the given powertrains can combine with a a seven-speed, dual-clutch S tronic, or eight-speed automatic gearshifter.

The starting price is $46,200, but the highest one is the $75,300, which is actually based on the trim level and the engine that you decide to use.
