2016 Audi A7

Audi has been doing a lot of updating and refreshing this year, and one of the models to receive a facelift is the 2016 Audi A7 car. We have managed to find out this information due to some leaked spy photos which have shown us that the A7 is the next model in line to receive a certain update. This will be a great addition for the A7 as they plan to enhance their entire lineup in the same way and will be releasing more models after this one.

The facelift is not going to an extensive one and we are not going to see something extravagant in the making. There are only bland changes made to the outside of the car which does not affect the appearance of the car in large extent. The inside receives even less as the update includes some new colors and added features, but no serious and big reshaping done. The infotainment system is new thou and may be an exciting added factor to the model.

But under the hood, there is a lot more action for the 2016 Audi A7 made than compared to any other part of the car. The engine is going to have a few more ponies under its belt and will be able to hash out a higher performance rate than the current model. So with this update you also get a choice between three diesel and two gasoline options that are available. Unfortunately, not all of them will be available for the US market, but in order to find out which ones do get to make it read the review and additionally find out the details regarding the price and the release date.

2016 Audi A7 exterior facelift

As we mentioned, the exterior update for the 2016 Audi A7 does not add much to the model that we saw before. What has changed are only a few details that are new for this model but do not change the concept in a significant manner. Yet they do make the A7 a bit more fresher than before which makes this a good change as this is the whole point of a facelift. The grille at the front has been shaped up a bit by adding eight horizontal bars now instead of seven from before and also sharpening up the corners a bit making it more edgier. The front end does not stop there as the headlamps have been revamped a bit by reshaping them and by adding LED features. The LED lighting comes as standard for this car and it uses the Matrix LEDs  which are available as an at-cost alternative.

The back side for the car also has some changes to it. The apparent ones are the parts added to the taillight. There is a bumper which is new, although it does not look that much new despite in being so. The tailpipes are also added and include a pair of trapezoid shaped pipers which are integrated into the diffuser. All in all, this is a fitting change for the car which will make it much more appropriate now and extend its use.

The inside has the same lack for detail as the other parts of the new 2016 Audi A7 for this update. They are keeping it short inside the car as well and except the update added to the infotainment system there isn’t that much going on inside. The facelift offers us a newer and faster version of the infotainment system that comes in handy but that’s pretty much it.

As far as we are concerned, the bigger news concerns the color changes which have been made for the car. This time the model comes available with five extra color choices that you can choose for the seats and combine it with the also newly offered materials. Offered materials include Valcona leather and aluminum or Beaufort walnut inlays. A final and optional choice is the MMI radio operating system which you can get with a optional heads-up display which gives you the information on the windshield.

Powertrain choices for the 2016 Audi A7

The great thing about the 2016 Audi A7 engine chicories is that all of them have received a power boost and have been updated in a manner that they are stronger than before. The bad news is that not all of them will be available for the crowds in America to enjoy. The base version is going to be the  3.0 TDI Clean Diesel which makes 218 horsepower.  We also get two more brawnier diesel options with the updated Clean Diesel  at  272 horsepower and the bi-turbo  that has 320 horsepower.

Audi A7 also gets a supercharged 3.0-liter TFSI gasoline engine, which is good enough for a production level of 333 horsepower, which has been increased from 310 hp from before. The info about the torque numbers is still not available so we are waiting for Audi to come up with those any time soon. The transmission choices, on the other hand, remain the seven-speed S Tronic and an eight-speed Tiptronic, while the base engine can be paired with a quattro all-wheel-drive.

Price and release date

The starting base price of the base version of the 2016 Audi A7 is going to be set at $65,900. The prices change depending on the engine that you get and the highest valued one will cost a total of $82,900 as base MSRP. The release date for the car is set for mid 2016 and we can expect it to come out till July.

2016 Audi TTS Coupe

The newest 2016 Audi TTS Coupe has all the makings of a great new car, yet not a howl lot has changed compared to the last generation. This model is being released as the third generation TTS but right tom the start we notice that there are not many new details that are going to distinguish this model from the previous one. The new model is more like a refresh than anything else, but actually, Audi does already have a history of making new vehicles this way so it may not come as that big of a surprise in fact.

But there are some things to b excited about this new vehicle and that is the updated that concerns the engine and also the inside of the vehicle as well. The new cabin is going to adopt a cleaner look which is going to give us a more natural and logical layout that is going to be seen through the whole range of the new Audi vehicles that are being released now.

The updated about the engine is that the TTS is getting a completely new line of engines and the old ones are being thrown away in favor of the new lineup. The engines are being supplied by the Volkswagen group and now you have the choice of choosing a 184 horsepower option or go way up to 310 horsepower if that is your desires. This all comes available with the newest 2016 Audi TTS Coupe car.

The model has already a fixed release date and the pricings are in. Also the new TTS Launch Edition has been confirmed for this year, but will only be limited to a number of 75 cars. Read all about this and more in the review below.

2016 Audi TTS Coupe exterior

As we mentioned, there aren’t many changes to the new 2016 Audi TTS Coupe model. The exterior is a little bit sleeker and sharper looking but all in all it is pretty much the same looking car. The design is now based on symmetry and has a horizontal feel to it which actually results in making the car seem to be positioned lower but look also wider. The new grille is bigger and better and the design of the grille also follows the creases that re made to the side of the hood. This effect actually stretches the car a bit forward, at least visually speaking.

Every other feature of the car has accentuating horizontal lines, this is seen on the headlamps, the side air intakes and the grille as well. The headlamps are perhaps the most interesting and the best new part of the car as its aggressive characters is transferred to the whole car and makes it look as aggressive as possible. They are also equipped with LEDs as all the other cars from the Audi lineup are. The aggressiveness of the TTS is also increased even further with the added large air intakes and the chrome details that are placed on it.

The interior of the 2016 Audi TTS Coupe adopts a clean and organic look by adding curvings, completely the opposite of what we get on the outside of the car. There are still some horizontal lines that dominate the inside but the circular gauges, steering wheel, air vents and many things more break the cycle by making it a bit clear which direction is the car going for. We even see it in the door panels as there are some arched shapes and gentler curves placed inside.

The cabin has a two tone color choice which opens up the cabin quite a bit and makes everything look sharp and luxurious. The dashboard is designed to be minimalistic and is very open and airy and makes for a very nice change to what the previous dark look presented. They also did a great job by combining the  main screen for the MMI infotainment system and instrument panel into one. This saves space, weight and money and is now much more useful than you would have thought it of being. The driver is now adequately focused on driving as it does not cause any distractions for him.

2016 Audi TTS Coupe engine

There are several options under the hood when it comes to the engine options for the 2016 Audi TTS Coupe. The people in Europe who are familiar with the latest Volkswagen setup will know what we are talking about when we mentioned that the European market is going to get a 2.0-liter TDI engine with 184 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. This one is good enough for getting to 0-60 mph in just around seven seconds and a top speed of 145 mph. The most powerful engine that the TTS gets is the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine gasoline engine that makes 310 horsepower. It storms to 0-60 mph in just 4.7 seconds which only makes it a half a second slower than the C6 Corvette.

The American market will on the other hand benefit from using the  2.0-liter four-cylinder engine which delivers 292 horses and 280 pound-feet. The 0-60 mph is a bit better than the European one as it can make it in 4.6 seconds. The top speed also increases to 155 mph and it comes with a to a six-speed S tronic transmission  and has the Audi’s trademark Quattro all-wheel drive system.

Price and release date

The pricing and the release date are already a familiar piece of information for the 2016 Audi TTS Coupe. The car is going to start sales from summer this year and the pricing are already available for you to make a choice. The base TT version starts at $42,900 while the TTS is being sold for a base MSRP of $51,900.

2016 Audi S5

Next on the list for redesign vehicle coming from Audi is the 2016 Audi S5 model. After the redesign versions of the Q7, A4 and E8, Audi has decided that there is room for some more and the next one in line is the S5. This was actually not expected to come as Audi still did not make any announcement about this model but as the spy photos have leaked recently and we have seen the model doing test drives in Ingolstadt we have graced the opportunity of seeing this vehicle in action soon.

The previous year was already a busy one of the Audi and the next one is not going to be a restful one as well as Audi has made announcements or preparation to release a number of cars and prototypes that are going to appear soon. Among them are the 2017 Audi Q5 and the Q1 models with the A4 Allroad underway as well. But no news was mentioned about the S5 appearing till now. This model was in plans but was supposed to appear so soon and they were assuming that we might get to see it a few years from now, but as the early pictures were released we might have a chance to see the release date sooner than expected.

This new model is going to replace the first-generation model which is slowly starting to run its course as it was introduced back in 2007. The early model was powered by a 4.2-liter V-8 engine while the coupe version received a 3.0-liter V-6 unit for the 2012 facelift. This model engine has appeared since then and was used both for coupe and convertibles and also for the Sportback five-door trims as well.

The 2016 Audi S5 is certainly going to appear in the U.S. market in the form of the coupe and the cabrio ride but we do not know whether the Sportback is going to be offered as well, but we assume this option is less likely to happen for now. There is a lot of things that Audi is still keeping a secret but this review holds all the currently available specs and stats.

2016 Audi S5 exterior design changes

The newly announced 2016 Audi S5 is going to be the second-generation model of this vehicle and even despite the fact that the pictures that were released for now show a camouflaged car it is still pretty noticeable how it is going to look. The model is going to be based on the S4 model as both of the vehicles actually adopt the revolutionary style of the A4 model. It is actually a sane and normal idea as this is the best way for the S5 to go and actually look like. The shape and size is going to remain the same as its preceding car but will add a slightly different appearance with a new body design that has more angles to it.

The front side, namely the headlamps and the grille, are going to come with some sharper cues and style points. The bumper is going to be changed to match the front as well and will include bigger air vents that are stylistically also very useful. The back side gets some slimmer taillights, a new bumper as well and a shorter trunk. Helping the S5 stand out among the back of crossover counterparts is the added quad-exhaust configuration  in the back which makes the car significantly sportier.

Interior updates and redesign

The interior of the 2016 Audi S5 is getting a larger revamp than the exterior which is in its evolutionary stage. It is also going to be based largely on the A4 sedan and is going to add the same kind of a dash design that has a continuous air-vent strip and a new center console which adds a new clean look to it. This gives the cabin a more high-tech type of an appearance and also enhances the roominess of the car as well.

The steering wheel is also going to change and will adopt a new one which will have a revised button layout.  The infotainment system has also been revised as it now adds a  a larger, free-standing display that you can use to control it better. Also there is a navigation system to boot as well. The added materials are much more softer and pleasant and it also has some special color upholstery as well. Finally, there is more legroom in this model.

2016 Audi S5 engine specs and news

There were many expectations that the 2016 Audi S5 is going to change to a V-8 engine, but this is not going to happen with this model. In fact the car is going to retain the 3.0-liter V-6 engine option that was used before. But the good thing is that this engine is going to get an overhaul and will be upgraded and redesigned for the upcoming model. So we can expect better performance rates out of this vehicle. The power is not the only thing that will be revised here as they are looking to make it much more efficient than before. as well. We can now expect a total output of  345 horses and 340 pound-feet of torque which is actually going to benefit from the 200-pound reduction in curb weight. The car is going to be able to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.6 seconds, which is an upgrade of 4.9 from the previous time. The transmission variants are going to be the six-speed manual and the seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch unit.

Price and release date

The 2016 Audi S5 has still to get a release date as they have kept the release of this vehicle a secret for now. So we are hoping to get it by the end of this year if not the beginning of the next one. The price estimates are $56,000base MSRP of the coupe version.
