2016 Ford Mustang Release Date, Price, Interior, Specs – Several months have passed since the release of the 6th generation of Ford Mustang in the United States dealerships, and the Blue Oval has already unmasked the refreshed features for the anticipated pony car.
The brand new 2016 Ford Mustang comes with a more customizable appearance of a muscle car and one that will resurrect a couple of classic trim packages of the first generation Mustang.
The sixth generation might have got a few criticism by its fans for its redesigned style but the carryover cues that have been incorporated by Ford has sure made them happy. The auto company will revive some classic visual enhancements that were a darling to the fans in the 60’s.

The exterior of the new 2016 Ford Mustang will only be limited to some new options and packages. The will be a new feature that will be in other models apart from the GT trim version, this will be the hood integrated turn signals which first debuted in the Mustang back in the 60’s.
The turn signals will be mounted on the hood vents and oriented backwards towards the wind shield and will be visible to the driver. The feature is not important as such, but it might have won Mustang some exclusive bragging rights.
Moving on, the GT and Mustang EcoBoost will now have access to over the top racing stripes which will be available in either silver or black. The automaker has confirmed that they will be available on multiple trim packages and colours. A black roof option is also going to be available on both the GT and EcoBoost trim versions.
Buyers should also anticipate more features which will be a carryover from the legendary California Special Package which was also made famous by the 1st generation of the Ford Mustang.
The package will include 19”, machine painted aluminium wheels which will be ebony painted, side and hood stripes, smoked taillight accents, a faux gas cap, black side mirrors and hood vents, a special grille that will bear the tri-bar pony logo and a performance splitter.

The interior of the brand new 2016 Ford Mustang will remain largely unaltered except for the improved infotainment system which will come with a premium package. For the new pony, Ford equipped it with a premium package with SYNC 3 which is faster, easier to use, and intuitive that the previous one.
The premium package also features the system update ability software which will be made possible by Wi-Fi connectivity. Other features that will be included will be ebony leather and Miko suede seat inserts, special door-panels inserts, red contrast stitching and embossed logos, and bespoke aluminium dashboard, and premium carpet with red stitching.
2016 Ford Mustang engine
Under the hood of the new 2016 Ford Mustang will be a base engine which will be 3.7L V6 engine which will be able to generate 300 hp and 280 pounds of torque. With the aforesaid engine, the pony will be able to hit 60 mph within 6 seconds.
Next powerplant will be a 2.3L turbocharged four cylinder EcoBoost engine which was present in the 2015 model version. This engine will be able to generate up to 310 hp and 320 pounds of torque.
The engine will make it possible for the new Mustang to sprint from 0-60 mph in less than 5.2 seconds with the auto gearbox and 5.5 with the manual transmission system. Lastly, there will be a 5L Coyote V8 that is fine tuned to produce 435 hp and 400 pounds of torque.
The engine will make it to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds. All the above mentioned engines will be mated to an enhanced Getrag, 6-speed manual gearbox or an optional 6-speed auto transmission system.
New performance related features that will available on the Mustang GT Convertible will include a larger radiator, a strut tower brace and K-brace, revised suspension integrated with heavy duty hot springs, a Torsen limited-slip differential with 3.73 axle ratio, ABS and electronic steering and performance tuning for stability control.
2016 Ford Mustang price and release date
The upcoming new 2016 Ford Mustang EcoBoost and 2016 Ford Mustang GT will go for sale in the markets towards the end of this year. The pricing details have not yet been released but are expected to be higher than the current model.
Other trim versions will include GT, GT 500, GT 350, GT 350R, Rocket, and Mach 1.
