2016 Chrysler 300 Engine
The forthcoming new 2016 Chrysler 300 will come with similar engines as that of its predecessor. Under the hood you should expect a 3.6L Pentastar engine, 6.4L HEMI engine which will be fitted in the SRT8 and the 5.7L V8 Hemi.
Buyers should expect the new engine to be somewhat stronger that the current engines in the market and will come mated to an eight-speed auto transmission system. It is also expected that the set of improved engines will somehow offer better fuel consumption than the previous ones.
The 3.6L engine will be able to generate up to 300 hp and 270 pounds of torque and will come equipped in the base engine. The next is the 5.7L Hemi V8 engine which will be able to generate 364 hp and 389 pounds of torque.
The EPA estimated ratings for the Hemi engine are 19/31 mpg in the city/highway when the drive system is RWD and when powered through the AWD, it comes to 15/25 mpg in the city/highway.
The other Hemi engine with a capacity of 6.4L will be able to generate up to 485 hp and 465 pounds of torque. There is rumour that the auto maker will offer another engine which will be the 3L and will have the capability of generating 250 hp and 500 pound of torque.
All the above mentioned engines will be mated to an eight speed automatic transmission unit that will be mated to with the RWD as the standard drive system. The trim levels that will be provided will include 300 Limited, 300S, 300C, and the top most trim the 300C Platinum. The Hellcat will not be provided this time round.
2016 Chrysler 300 price and release date
The new 2016 Chrysler 300 will make a debut somewhere during the end of this year (2015) with a base price of around $40,000.
